A major city centre road was cordoned off amid concerns about the roof of a building.
Merseyside Police and Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service descended on Bold Street and Berry Street in the city centre after concerns were raised about the condition of the roof of one of the buildings. MFRS confirmed crews were called to help police remove pieces of debris from the roof of Jimmy's bar.
A MFRS spokesperson confirmed that crews were called at 1.11pm, with one fire engine and one aerial platform attending to reach the part of the roof that was damaged. A Merseyside Police spokesperson also confirmed a cordon was put in place to ensure no one was injured by potential debris.
