Colossal Order has plenty of Cities Skylines 2 DLC in the works, and some of the simulation game’s expansions are slated for 2023. Like with the original game, CO will release targeted new features in new packs alongside a selection of less expensive DLC with additions such as new radio songs. The Cities Skylines 2 DLC map may look a little sparse compared to the robust selection of expansions for its predecessor, but Colossal Order will continue supporting the game for months and years in the future, including with community mods-turned-expansions.
Cities Skylines 2 DLC - San Francisco Set (Oct. 24, 2023)
The first set is exclusive to the game’s expansion pass, so it looks like you won’t have the option to buy it independently. The San Francisco set launches when Cities Skylines 2 releases for PC and includes:
- A San Francisco map (beach themed)
- New police vehicle
- Five muscle car designs
- A muscle car garage
- The Golden Gate Bridge as an iconic building
Cities Skylines 2 DLC - Beach Properties (Q4 2023)
The Beach Properties set will launch sometime in late 2023, and while it doesn’t change how you play the game, it does give you a range of beach-themed assets to build bustling waterfront districts with. CO didn’t say much about this one, other than that it focuses on “luxurious beach housing.”
Cities Skylines 2 DLC - Content Creator Packs (Q1 2024)
Two asset packs from content creators land in the game during 2024’s first quarter – so, sometime between January 2024 and March 2024. These are:
- Urban Promenades
- Modern Architecture
Each pack includes more than 30 items to customize your city with, though CO hasn’t provided specifics about what we can expect from them.
Cities Skylines 2 DLC - Bridges and Ports (Q2 2024)
Summer 2024 sees the first proper Cities Skylines 2 expansion: Bridges and Ports. It features over 100 assets to help you create thriving port cities, including lighthouses, marine industries, drawbridges, and new tools.
Cities Skylines 2 DLC - Radio packs
Finally are some new radio station packs set for release alongside each piece of major DLC excluding the San Francisco set.
- Deluxe Relax Station – Q4 2023
- Soft Rock Radio – Q1 2024
- Cold Wave Channel – Q2 2024
Each radio station pack includes a new radio host and 60 minutes of music.
Just bear in mind that Cities Skylines 2‘s DLC is platform specific, so what you buy now won’t be unlocked in the PS5 version when it releases in 2024.
