'Cirkus' box office collection: The Ranveer Singh starrer collected Rs 20 lakh on its third Monday

After opening at Rs 6.50 crore at the box office on its first day, Rohit Shetty's 'Cirkus' failed to live up to the expectations of the audience and the critics. Looking at its third week collections, it would be safe to say that the film's run has come to an end.

The Ranveer Singh starrer collected Rs 20 lakh nett on its third Monday and is reportedly heading for a third week of 2.25 crore nett plus. These collections are also because of the lack of releases in the past week, a report in boxofficeIndia.com.

The total collections of the film so far are Rs 35.75 crore nett and it's going to be a Rs 37 crore nett finish for the film. According to reports, the film has a 40 percent contribution in the Mumbai circuit and this is despite disaster collections in the Gujarat / Saurashtra belt.

The report also added that the results in overseas are also dull with the film closing under $2 million but that still is not as bad as India as the period really helped otherwise it could have ended in the $1.25 million range.

Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh will next be seen in Karan Johar's 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani', co-starring Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi in lead. Rohit, on the other hand, will be making 'Singham Again' with Ajay Devgn, which also reportedly features Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone making an appearance.
