Circus skills workshops come to Castle Douglas

The circus came to Castle Douglas last week.

The Dougie’s Day team and Castle Douglas Development Forum helped put on a series of special workshops in the town’s parks to teach youngsters circus skills including juggling and plate spinning.

And on Saturday there was a fantastic celebratory Picnic in the Park at Lochside Park on the banks of Carlingwark Loch.

The youngsters were able to demonstrate their new skills as well as make their own juggling balls, visit the story wagon and enjoy balloon modelling and facepainting.
