Cincinnati Bengals WR Tee Higgins Scores Game Winning OT TD

The second game of the NFL’s Week 17 Saturday tripleheader was a barn burner.  The Denver Broncos and Cincinnati Bengals battled until the end of overtime with the Bengals prevailing.

Both teams had chances in overtime before Joe Burrow threw a touchdown pass to Tee Higgins to seal the win.  Higgins had the game of his life with three touchdowns in what could ironically be his last home game as a member of the Cincinnati Bengals.  Some argue that he showed his value and that the Bengals need to pay him.

Cincinnati Bengals And Denver Broncos Play Crazy Game

Bo Nix threw an unbelievable touchdown pass to Marvin Mims on fourth down at the end of regulation to tie the game.

The Bengals won the overtime coin toss. They went three and out and gave the Broncos the ball. The Broncos could not move the ball in overtime. On the Bengals’ second OT possession, they sent kicker Cade York to the field on third down for a winning chip-shot field goal.  He missed it.

The Broncos did nothing with their possession giving Burrow another chance with two minutes left in overtime.  Burrow was not to be deterred, changing plays at the line of scrimmage and keeping the chains moving.  He threw for over 400 yards on the day.

Cincinnati needed to win to stay in the playoff hunt.  They are 8-8 and need help to get in, but for now, Bengals Nation is rejoicing.

The Broncos fall to 9-7 and are currently the seventh seed in the AFC playoff picture.
