The Cincinnati Bengals are set to elevate All-Pro wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase to the status of the highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL. This decision was confirmed by the team's director of player personnel during the NFL scouting combine.

The team is eager to finalize this deal early to allow for more flexibility in addressing other team needs. Alongside Chase, the Bengals also aim to extend the contract of Tee Higgins and continue bolstering their offensive arsenal to support quarterback Joe Burrow.

Chase had a stellar season, leading the league in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdown catches. The Bengals exercised his fifth-year option but are now looking to secure a long-term agreement that could see him earning around $40 million annually.

Another key player in line for a significant pay raise is edge rusher Trey Hendrickson, who has been a standout performer with impressive sack numbers over the past two seasons. The team is keen on retaining Hendrickson and is engaged in discussions to reach a mutually beneficial agreement.

Despite falling short of the playoffs in the last two seasons, the Bengals are focused on building a competitive team. Negotiations with players are approached with respect for their contributions and a commitment to creating a winning football program.

As the offseason progresses, the Bengals are working towards securing key players and ensuring a strong foundation for future success.
