A Ring camera caught a woman brazenly luring three goats off a property in Santa Rosa, California, while she nonchalantly held a lit cigarette in her mouth.
Shawn Ganapoler, the goats' owner, told NBC Bay Area the theft happened about a week ago. The video showed the woman entering Ganapoler's property with a cigarette in her mouth. She then grabs a handful of highly flammable hay and uses it to lead the goats away from the barn and off the property.
Ganapoler, who owns five additional goats, is pleading with the thief to safely bring home his three missing pets, named Atlas, Nacho, and Chili.
"They were my family. They were my family pets," Ganapoler said. "I've bottle raised many of them, including Nacho and Chili."
The Sonoma County Sheriff's office's rural area crimes task force is assisting Ganapoler with his search. Ganapoler also shared that his boss, restaurateur Guy Fieri, has also been very helpful.
