Christopher Jullien in Rangers vs Celtic 'green and white again' League Cup Final prediction

Christopher Jullien has fired a warning to Rangers as he roared: 'Sunday the cup will be green and white again.

The Old Firm rivals go head to head at Hampden this weekend as Michael Beale and Ange Postecoglou battle it out for the first trophy of the season in the Viaplay Cup Final. Both sides overcame Premiership opposition in the shape of Aberdeen and Kilmarnock to reach the showpiece with just potentially 90 minutes standing between them and lifting the big prize.

The Hoops are the current holders after defeating Hibs last season and they've been backed to make it back to back successes in the competition by the man who scored the winning goal the last time the pair faced off at the national stadium. Back in the 2019/20 season, Jullien popped up to turn home a free-kick to leave Allan McGregor helpless in goal.

The SPFL shared footage of his strike and celebration at a soaked Hampden and he was quick to reply and offer his prediction ahead of this the action this weekend.

He wrote: "What a goal. Sunday the Cup will be green and white again. Let's go guys."

Beale puts his undefeated record as Rangers boss on the line in Mount Florida while Postecoglou and his champions have been in relentless form and boast a long unbeaten run of their own.

Celtic hold a nine point advantage at the top of the Premiership and despite the best efforts of the Ibrox side, they've been unable to claw back any of that points difference. Both sides ran out comfortable winners at the weekend with James Tavernier and Co defeating Livingston 3-0 at the Tony Macaroni Arena while the champions hammered Aberdeen 4-0.
