Christopher Jullien is set to join Schalke on loan from Celtic with an option to make the deal permanent, according to a report.
We told earlier today how the Hoops defender - who was signed by Neil Lennon for £7million back in 2019 - was attracting interest from the Bundesliga outfit and French sides including Rennes and Lorient. But he now looks set for a stint in Germany with well-respected transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claiming a deal is done. He says medical checks are underway and he will put pen to paper later today.
He wrote on Twitter: "Schalke are set to sign Christopher Jullien from Celtic. Done deal and medical ongoing right now - gonna be loan deal with buy option included. Contract to be signed later today, right after medical tests."

The 29-year-old is back to fitness after returning from a long-term injury but was unable to force his way into Ange Postecoglou's side with Carl Starfelt and Cameron Carter-Vickers striking up a solid bond at the heart of the Hoops' defence.
Schalke are back in Germany's top flight with boss Frank Kramer wanting new faces in the door as they bid to retain their spot in the league next term after gaining promotion at the first attempt following their relegation.
It's set to be another big season at Celtic - but it looks like Jullien won't be part of it - as Postecoglou and Co aim to defend the league title they won back from Rangers.
Champions League football is also heading to Parkhead with the Hoops set for some big European nights under the lights as they join the competition at the group stages.
