The extra train and bus services that will operate across Dublin in the run up to Christmas and New Year’s Eve have been confirmed.
Dublin Bus, Bus Eireann, Iarnrod Eireann, and the Luas have revealed what services will be running over the festive period.

Dublin Bus Christmas schedule
The Nitelink will start from Wednesday, December 14 to Saturday, December 17. It will run again on Christmas week from Wednesday, December 21 to Friday, December 23.
There will be no Nitelink on Christmas day. The service will resume on Friday, December 30 and finish on Saturday, December 31.
A full Nitelink service will operate on Routes 7n, 29n, 31n, 33n, 42n, 46n, 49n, 69n, 70n, 77n, 84n, 88n on the following dates:
Wed 14th – Sat 17th Dec 2022
Wed 21st – Fri 23rd Dec 2022
Fri 30th and Sat 31st Dec 2022
A temporary Route 40n Nitelink service will operate on the above dates every 30-mins from 00:00 to 04:00.
This service will operate on the above dates at the following times 00:00hrs, 00:30hrs, 01:00hrs, 01:30hrs, 02:00hrs, 02:30hrs, 03:00hrs, 03:30hrs and 04:00hrs and serve Westmoreland Street, Phibsboro, Ballymun Road, Ballymun, Poppintree, Charlestown, Finglas West and Finglas South.
In addition, the following 24-hour services will continue to operate during this period

Iarnród Éireann - DART services
Irish Rail has announced its late night Dart timetable, as well as extra services running from Maynooth, Dundalk and Kildare.
Late-night Dart and commuter services will operate from Friday, December 2 on the weekends in the run-up to Christmas until December 23, and on New Year’s Eve.
Irish Rail has said extra security will be on board to ensure customer safety. Fares will be charged at normal rates, meaning customers can use Leap cards and buy cash fares.
On Fridays and Saturdays, the following late-night services will run:
00:30 and 01:30 from Pearse, serving all stations to Howth
00:30 and 01:30 from Connolly, serving all stations to Greystones
00:40 and 01:40 from Pearse, serving Tara St, Connolly, and all stations from Howth Junction to Dundalk
00:20 and 02:00 from Pearse, serving all stations to Maynooth
23:50 and 01:50 from Pearse, serving all stations to Drumcondra, and all stations from ParkWest to Kildare
On New Year’s Eve, December 31, the following services will operate:
01:30 and 02:30 from Pearse, serving all stations to Howth
01:30 and 02:30 from Connolly, serving all stations to Greystones
01:40 and 02:40 from Pearse, serving Tara St, Connolly, and all stations from Howth Junction to Dundalk

Luas will operate additional daytime trams on the 3rd, 4th, 10th, 11th, 17th, 18th Dec , in addition to the Night Luas services on the Fri 9th, Sat 10th, Fri 16th, Sat 17th, Sat 31st Decemeber.
A valid Luas Ticket, valid Public Services Card with Free Travel, or TFI Leap Card validated at the Luas Stop is required to use the service.
