Police are hunting for three men and a woman who viciously attacked their victim as he waited for a taxi after a Christmas party in Glasgow.

Officers say the incident took place at around 1am on Monday, December 19, outside the front entrance of the Hilton Hotel on William Street. A 44-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.

The suspects are described as being three white men, one of who was around 5ft 8in with a skinny build. A white woman with long brown hair was also allegedly involved.

Investigators are keen to speak to witnesses who have yet to come forward in a bid to find the gang of attackers.

Detective Constable Larissa Cooper, from Greater Glasgow CID, said: “We are aware that the area was busy around the time of the attack, with people leaving a Christmas function at the hotel.

“We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the attack or has any information to please come forward. You can call police on 101, quoting incident 0361 of 19 December.

“Alternatively, please contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
