Quarterback Joe Flacco took no time at all to pick up where he left off last week against the Chicago Bears. As the Cleveland Browns look to put themselves in prime position to make the playoffs, Flacco connected with wide receiver Amari Cooper for a deep shot of 53 yards on the first play of the game against the Houston Texans.
The Christmas lights are already ignited in Houston.
On a run-action look, guard Wyatt Teller pulled to draw the eyes of the Houston defenders in, and Flacco was able to find Cooper over the top of the secondary for a massive start. This was off of the heels of a great kickoff return from running back Pierre Strong Jr. as well that put the Browns in a great field position.
The Browns then went on to score on a Jerome Ford touchdown run. They have taken an early 7-0 lead over the Texans on the road.
