Green garden waste is suspended from December 26 in order to allow the council to put all its resources into collecting the record amounts of recycling at Christmas. Normal services will resume from Monday, January 9. You can get more Rhondda Cynon Taf news and other story updates straight to your inbox by subscribing to our newsletters here.

There will also be no recycling bag deliveries between December 23 to January 9 so make sure you have plenty at home. The council also advises to place all wrapping paper and gift bags in a separate clear bag, including foil and glitter wrapping paper.
There are no changes to any waste collections from Monday, January 2, and everything will be collected on the normal collection day that week. The council does however advise to leave any waste at the kerbside if it hasn't been collected as crews may be working extra hours to meet demand.
