Christine McGuinness supported after nervous admission moments into Loose Women interview

Christine McGuinness was supported as she made a nervous admission moments into her Loose Women appearance.

The former Miss Liverpool was interviewed by Kaye Adams, Brenda Edwards, Nadia Sawalha and Carol McGiffin on today's edition of the popular ITV panel show. It was the 34-year-old's first appearance on Loose Women since she confirmed her split from Paddy McGuinness last July.

Christine has made multiple appearances on the show in the past but admitted the long break since her last Loose Women appearance meant the nerves had settled in. She said at the start of the chat: "I feel so nervous.

"This is the most comfortable place for me on the telly but I'm so nervous." Christine was assured by the panelists she was amongst friends and was on the show to promote her new children's book named Amazing Me, Amazing You.

The book hit shelves today and Christine said she feels honoured to see it released. She said: "I'm blessed in so many ways. It's been a crazy year but I've had so many positives and to be back here is amazing."

Christine is the proud mum of autistic children Felicity, Leo and Penelope. She was also diagnosed with the condition as an adult and hopes the book will give a voice to autistic people and show that "everyone is different and that's just absolutely fine."

The mum of three also wants to raise awareness on the difficulties autistic people face. She said: "I wanted to do something that would help other children understand children like mine." She added: "It's a real child friendly way for children to learn about autistic children."
