Christine McGuinness said she'll be spending Christmas with her ex Paddy McGuinness as their children don't know about their marital split.
The couple announced that they had separated earlier this year after more than a decade of marriage.
Paddy and Christine have three children together, Penelope, Felicity, and Leo. All three children have been diagnosed with autism, with mum Christine also diagnosed in 2021.
As Christine and her TV star hubby announced their shock split they said in a statement they will "always be a loving family" and that they would still live "happily" in their family home together.
And now, months after announcing the split, Christine has opened up about their Christmas arrangement as well as co-parenting after the break-up.
Christine admitted the separation has been 'heartbreaking' and says she never expected her marriage would end.
Despite the heartache, Christine says she will be spending Christmas with Paddy as 'that's what their children are used to.'
"We don’t know what the future holds or how it’s going to be moving forward, but we’ll try to keep things as normal as possible," said the mum.
Former Miss Liverpool Christine said it would be 'nice' for the children to see their parents 'being alright' and that she would never allow her children to see anything other than 'them being happy'.
"I’m quite happy for him to be there with the children and it’s nice for them to see Mummy and Daddy just being alright. We can sit and have a cup of tea together and that’s fine."
When asked if the children are aware of the separation, she said to OK magazine!: "No, not at all, they’re so young. I’m trying to just stick to their normal routine."
The mum said when children are involved 'you've got to take your own feelings out of it [...] and that's what we're both trying to do."
Christine announced she was splitting up from her husband Paddy after 11 years of marriage this summer.
At the time, a joint statement on their Instagram pages said: "We hadn't planned on sharing this publicly until we were ready but the lack of privacy surrounding our personal life, we feel left with no other option but to clarify.
"A while ago we took the difficult decision to separate but our main focus as always is to continue loving and supporting our children."

"This was not an easy decision to make but we're moving forward as the best parents we can be for our three beautiful children.
"We'll always be a loving family, we still have a great relationship and still live happily in our family home together."
Since the split, the duo have been focused on their own projects, with Paddy constantly away for work.
Christine has been supported by her pal Chelcee Grimes, with who she was spotted kissing in Winter Wonderland.
And now, as Christmas inches closer, Christine has been sharing snaps of the kids decorating the tree and enjoying the festive period.
