Christine McGuinness has shared she has suffered a heartbreaking loss while on a one-night solo trip. The former model whisked herself off to Devon for some alone time following her split from husband Paddy McGuinness.
However, after putting on a stunning beach display, the mum-of-three shared how she'd taken a step back from social media after her beloved grandmother died. She said she has been "taking time out" in a post at sunset on the beach where she penned her sad news.
"I know I’m being quieter on here, I hope to be back properly soon," she wrote over the beautiful image. "I’m just needing time out, thinking lots, life is short, unpredictable and sometimes crazy."

She then went on to explain: "My nan, the one with the words of wisdom, she joined grandad in heaven last week and it’s hit me harder than I ever imagined. I’m just needing time out, thinking lots, life is short, unpredictable and sometimes crazy. Then my dad turned 60…
"If you have read my story you will understand why this is huge. I can’t help but wonder how he made it this far. But I’m so grateful he is still here, even with his struggles, I’m thankful for that.” She added: "Anyway, life is crazy, we’re halfway through the school summer holidays. Again, if you know, you know!"
Christine opened up to fans after posing on the beach as the sun came down on a beautiful sunny day. Posting a video to her Instagram page, the 34-year-old could be seen posing in a black bikini on the beach. Looking bronzed, Christine donned a big pair of sunglasses and let her new shorter blonde locks blow in the slight sea breeze.
She showed off her gym-honed figure as she posed up a storm in front of the dimming natural light and glistening blue sea. Christine also shared a heart she had made with rocks on the beach with a 'C' in the middle. "One night in Devon," she began writing to her 682,000 followers.
"Solo sunsets are a healer. Feeling blessed to have worked on something special this week in such a stunning part of England. My passion lead me to peace. After a heavy thinking day I took some time out on my own and reminded myself how temporary time is and how precious life is." She then ended her post: "Grateful for this night."
And fans were quick to share compliments and show their support. @annetray1 said: "Lovely words Christine." @thehappystudentmidwife commented: "Beautiful girl inside and out." @queenie2013 wrote: "You are an amazing woman keep head up."
@dolan479 shared: "You look amazing hun, stay strong n positive always." @danlarge1 added: "Wow what a lovely lady you are, i love your deep thinking. Chin up."
