Christine McGuinness shares rare details about her children as she throws 10th birthday bash with Paddy

Christine McGuinness was filled with pride as she celebrated her twins turning 10 over the weekend. The model shared last weekend how it was a 'big weekend' for the family after all three of her children took part in their school sports day for the first time.

Christine, 35, said at the time: "Sports day for all three kids and I can't wait to see them," she said referring to twins Penelope and Leo and youngest daughter Felticty, who all have autism and sparked their mum's own diagnosis aged 33.

"Still can't believe they're going to try and get involved and everything. Honestly, they just amaze me. I remember the times I wouldn't have taken them at all but yeah, hopefully, all three of them are going to get involved with sports day."

She went on to share: "And then my twins are double figures this weekend. My twins are going to be ten which is just crazy. Big, big weekend for the McGuinness kiddies. I'm looking forward to it. I'm excited and I'm nervous for them but it should be good. One to remember."

Returning to Instagram on Friday, Christine grinned for the camera as she sat through the rain to watch her children, alongside ex-husband Paddy McGuinness, take on the annual school sporting event.

"Proudest mummy at Sports day," she said alongside the post which showed her beaming for the camera before showing off one of her children's medals. "Not only did my fabulous trio take part, they actually enjoyed it," she went on

"They didn’t manage to stay for the whole day (the rain got too much for them) but for the majority they wore their big beautiful smiles, they really tried their best and they all done incredibly well.

"Leo, Penelope, Felicity... Always remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, smarter than you think and loved more than you will ever know."

And the big milestones continued on Sunday (July 2) as Christine and Paddy turned their Cheshire home, which they still share following their split last year, into a party haven for their two eldest children. "Celebrating my twinnies 10th birthday. Double figures, double love," Christine penned.

She wrote a message alongside pictures from the special day which showed her holding on to an impressive Pokemon-themed cake before she had a go on the bouncy castle and inflatable slide that had been erected in their sprawling garden for the day.

"Leo and Penelope you changed my world for the better, I’m so proud of you both, feeling extremely grateful I get to be your mummy and you are my babies forever," Christine added.

She then explained why fans are yet to see their children's faces, with both Christine and Paddy only ever sharing pictures that obscure their identity. "If there was ever a day I wanted to share a picture of them it’s today," the mum-of-three admitted.

"But when they’re old enough they can decide for themselves. I can tell you they’re getting so tall, their smiles are just gorgeous and they have the most beautiful brown eyes I’ve ever seen."

Paddy was also keen to share pictures from the special day, echoing the post of his former wife, and said: "The memories of rocking my twin babies to sleep, one on each arm, is still vivid in my mind. They’re now 10 years old!!! My heart aches with love but my arms ache even more! Happy 10th birthday Leo and Penelope. I love you. Daddy."
