Christine McGuinness shares 'petrifying' fear after Paddy split

Christine McGuinness had candidly opened up on her split with Paddy in a new documentary.

Christine McGuinnness: Unmasking My Autism will air on BBC this evening. Lorraine Kelly described it as a "very powerful show" as the former Miss Liverpool is expected to be "very frank" about all sorts of things including her dating life following her split with Paddy McGuinness.

She was diagnosed with autism at the age of 33 and all three of her children have also been diagnosed as being on the spectrum. In the new programme, she will explain the struggles due to her diagnosis including navigating the dating world again since becoming newly single.

A clip of the documentary was shown on ITV's Lorraine as Christine was clearing out her wardrobe. She discussed how she is adapting to life as a single person since splitting with her husband of 11 years.

The mum-of-three said: "I think the changes for me, although they're massive, I am doing everything very slowly. I'm trying to not pretend.

"But with things like my marriage, for example, that's massive. I've been with my husband since I was 19 years old. So I've only ever had this one man in my life in 15 years. I can't imagine living with anyone else.

"I don't know what it's like to date. I can't remember being single. I've found myself in this position where I don't really know what to do with it but then I am just going into a new chapter, I suppose, on my own. Which is petrifying for someone who doesn't like change."
