Christine McGuinness 'set to launch a fashion line with a pal' after split from Paddy

Christine McGuinness is gearing up for a major career change as she launches a fashion line with her pal after splitting with her husband Paddy. Paddy and Christine split last July after 11 years of marriage, and 15 years together.

The couple share three children together - Leo Joseph and Penelope, both 9, and Felicity Rose, 7. While Christine already has a sportswear line, Vibe By Christine, the former Real Housewives of Cheshire star has founded her new company, CC346, with friend Catherine Farrell.

It first appeared on Companies House last month and will sell garments at specialist retailers. A source told The Mirror: “Christine has always been independent, but now she wants to be her own boss, too. It’s an exciting time for her.”

This comes after former Take Me Out host Paddy, 49, suffered a devastating blow as both his BBC shows Catchpoint and I Can See Your Voice have been axed. A TV insider told The Sun: “This will come as a real blow to Paddy, who’s made a firm commitment to the Beeb since he quit ITV four years ago.

“Both I Can See Your Voice and Catchpoint saw him retain his place as a star of Saturday night TV, something he forged fronting dating favourite Take Me Out on ITV. But these axings mean that’s effectively gone, so he’s likely to be looking for new projects to fill the void."

Last month, Christine said she and Paddy “still get on” and remain in the same house because their children rely so much on a regular routine. . Announcing their split last year, the couple wrote in a joint statement: "We hadn't planned on sharing this publicly until we were ready but after the lack of privacy surrounding our personal life, we feel left with no other option but to clarify.

"A while ago we took the difficult decision to separate but our main focus as always is to continue loving and supporting our children. This was not an easy decision to make but we're moving forward as the best parents we can be for our three beautiful children.

"We'll always be a loving family, we still have a great relationship and still live happily in our family home together. We hope this now draws a line under anymore unwanted and unnecessary intrusion into our private life.

"Although we work in the public eye we ask kindly if you could respect our wishes for privacy on this matter. We'll be making no further comment."
