Christine McGuinness says she 'didn't put us in this situation' after Paddy split claims

Christine McGuinness has spoken out about claims her marriage to Paddy is on the rocks and said "I didn't put us in this situation."

The 34-year-old model has been the subject of rumours over the past week, but says she is the "strongest" version of herself and things are okay between her and the Top Gear host, 48.

Christine has been sharing a series of motivational quotes on her Instagram account, with one reading: "This year I met the most broken version of me, but also the strongest."

Alongside it, she wrote: "Regarding the press... There is only one thing I want to make clear right now... I didn't put us in this situation."

The mother-of-three also shared a quote which said: "Talk about trust before you talk about love."

Another cryptic post read: "Look at you rising up, completely re-creating yourself, making positive choices, thinking new thoughts, creating new habits & stepping into a life that actually lights you up.

"You're glowing, girl."

Speaking to Ok! magazine, Christine also discussed happier times in her relationship with Paddy.

She said: "We're really good, honestly.

"We have had difficult times but when I look back at our marriage and see where we are now, I think, "Wow, you know, we've done alright!

Christine added: "I first met Paddy 14 years ago and now we’ve got three gorgeous kids, we’ve been married for 11 years, we’re both busier than ever, but doing really great stuff.

"I couldn’t ask for anything more from him. I’m so grateful. I’m happy, I’ve got no complaints.”

She also praised Paddy's parenting skills and said he has a "really strong" bond with their children — Penelope, nine, Leo, nine, and Felicity, six.

Christine said: "He’s got a really strong bond with all of the children and he’s more hands-on now than ever before.

“He used to struggle to switch off from work when he came home and would be in his office writing or whatever.

"But now he can see the kids are getting older and how fast time flies. So when he’s at home, he makes it all about the kids. We’ve all grown as a family and it’s lovely."
