Christine McGuinness has appeared on Lorraine to speak about her autism diagnosis, her marriage to Paddy McGuinness and bringing up three autistic children. She spoke openly to Carol Vorderman, who is sitting in for Lorraine Kelly who has Covid, about the condition changing her life and addressed rumours about her marriage to comedian and presenter, Paddy McGuinness.
Speaking on Tuesday's (July 12) show about her marriage to Top Gear frontman Paddy, she said: "Marriages go through ups and downs. All marriages, especially with long ones like ours, it's not always going to be plain sailing. But, we're trying to deal with things as privately as possible and we both just want to be there to support the children. We're going away on a family holiday next week."
She admitted last weekend that she and Paddy were going through 'a very difficult time'. Christine also revealed she was recently diagnosed with autism and spoke about bringing up three autistic children. "I got my diagnosis just when I finished the book, that's changed my life. It's helped me understand myself a lot more, I feel like I'm really coming into my own," she added.

Christine and Paddy got married 11 years ago, and have three children: twins Penelope and Leo, nine and Felicity, six.
On bringing up her children, she said: "It's not easy. It's challenging and it's difficult at times, but if you've read the book you'll know there's lots of fun, there's lots to celebrate. I felt like that was so important to put in the book, because that is the biggest part of my life really.
"That's me, I'm a Mum. I've got three autistic children, I'm autistic myself, I wrote about that in the book, when I got my diagnosis. For me writing the book was a huge positive, just being able to write everything down was quite therapeutic."
This year Christine has appeared on ITV shows The Real Full Monty and The Games, and spoke about doing the shows for her mum, who is recovering from breast cancer.
"With my diagnosis, I wanted to push, and I wanted to be an inspiration to my children, because they're my biggest inspiration. I wanted them to look at mummy and know that they can do anything. I was extremely reclusive in my 20s I was kind of just staying in and not travelling. I want to make sure I'm not doing that, I want to see the world."
