Christine McGuinness responds to 'comfortable' comments as beams with joy over 'new life'

Christine McGuinness has responded to a fan who told her she looks more 'comfortable' since she shared that she had been diagnosed with autism. The model told her fans that she had received the diagnosis, aged 33, in November 2021.

In a post on Instagram at the time, she wrote: "I got my diagnosis a few months ago. I have felt different my whole life. Honestly, I am relieved to finally understand myself!" It comes after all three of her children, who she shares with ex-husband Paddy McGuinness, were also diagnosed with the developmental disability caused by differences in the brain.

Christine has since become an autism campaigner and recently released her first solo documentary, Christine McGuinness: Unmasking My Autism, with the BBC. It followed the first film she did with Paddy, Our Family and Autism, which explored how the lifelong condition affects their family life.

The 34-year-old is also honest on social media about her struggles but on Thursday (April 13), Christine was seen all smiles as she shared photos from a glam event she attended. She looked stunning in a one-shoulder jumpsuit that showcased her sensational gym-honed figure.

She kept her blonde locks down and styled into curls and sported a bronzed palette of make-up on her face. "My social skills these last 2 days have levelled up," the mum-of-three cheered in the caption of the post.

She then added: "London is always a good idea." And one fan was quick to note a change they have seen in Christine from following her over the years. "I think since your diagnosis, you are looking like you feel more comfortable around people and this can help with your social skills too," they wrote.

Former Love Island star Chloe Burrows also commented: "Proud of u my girl," to which Christine again shared her joy. "Honestly I haven't shut up for 2 days it’s been so good to talk," she said. "Can’t wait to catch up with you."

And fans also heaped praise on the former Real Housewives of Cheshire star. @debradeakin80 said: "Personally I think you've done brilliant with your social skills this past year, you've really excelled yourself."
