Christine McGuinness posts cryptic messages amid breakup rumours

Christine McGuinness has posted a series of cryptic Instagram stories as break-up rumours continue to swirl around her and Paddy.

For weeks now, Christine and Paddy McGuinness have been battling rumours that their relationship is on the rocks. After the pair took their first separate holidays together in years and failed to post anything online for their anniversary, it seemed they were becoming distant with each other.

Yesterday evening, Christine posted a cryptic message to her Instagram story where she said: "This year I met the most broken version of me but also the strongest. Regarding the press... There is only one thing I want to make clear right now.. I didn't put us in this situation."

Alongside the unusual post were several bittersweet text-based images referencing relationships. One photo said: "Talk about trust before you talk about love." A second added: "Look at you rising up and completely re-creating yourself, making positive choices, thinking new thoughts, creating new habits and stepping into a life that actually lights you up. You're glowing girl."

To celebrate the launch of her latest book released on paperback, Christine posted another video where she said she was "tired" with no energy and needed a day to herself. She added: "I know I've been quiet I am absolutely exhausted. I've had insomnia forever and this week has just been wild I'm just getting no sleep but I'm feeling it today I'm so tired."

Accompanying the video was an apology in text stating she'll reveal the book in full when she has enough energy to "do it properly." The caption said: "Sorry about the energy guys I'll be back lively tomorrow when Ma's going to a ball. Can't wait. I need music, dancing and laughter."

But just hours before the cryptic messages the former Miss Liverpool told OK! magazine that her and her husband were solid.

Speaking to OK! magazine, she said: "We’re really good, honestly.

"We have had difficult times but when I look back at our marriage and see where we are now, I think, ‘Wow, you know, we’ve done alright!’ I first met Paddy 14 years ago and now we’ve got three gorgeous kids, we’ve been married for 11 years, we’re both busier than ever, but doing really great stuff. I couldn’t ask for anything more from him. I’m so grateful. I’m happy, I’ve got no complaints.”

She added: "He’s got a really strong bond with all of the children and he’s more hands-on now than ever before. He used to struggle to switch off from work when he came home and would be in his office writing or whatever.

"But now he can see the kids are getting older and how fast time flies. So when he’s at home, he makes it all about the kids. We’ve all grown as a family and it’s lovely."

Paddy McGuinness is yet to reference any of the rumours.
