Christine McGuinness on top form as she strolls in sunshine after making wedding ring switch

Christine McGuinness dazzled as she went for a stroll in the Cheshire sunshine following her recent split from husband Paddy. The former The Real Housewives of Cheshire cast member looked sensational in a pink mini dress as she headed to a nail salon.

Doting mum Christine, 34, beamed as she completed her summery look with a pair of pristine white trainers and large shades. And it appears she's continuing to wear her wedding ring after the split, but switching it to her right hand instead.

Model Christine and Top Gear and Question of Sport host Paddy announced that they had separated following 11 years of marriage last month. On Sunday Paddy celebrated his birthday with pals at Manchester's swanky restaurant The Ivy.

He was spotted wearing his wedding ring on the traditional left hand. The TV presenter was joined by hockey star pal Sam Quek, his colleague on the long-running BBC One gameshow, and other friends to mark his big day.

He was seen arriving at 8pm and left the celebrations at 2am. Former Phoenix Nights star Paddy looked relaxed in a white T-shirt and cargo trousers.

As the birthday messages came flooding in for the star he shared an adorable picture on Instagram of the handmade cards he had received from his children. "Best part of the day!" he wrote. "Birthdays, Christmas, Fathers Day, I love a homemade card off the kids. Thank you Leo, Penelope and Felicity."

Paddy and former The Real Housewives of Cheshire guest star Christine confirmed to fans that they had gone their separate ways 'some time ago' in a joint statement. The couple opened up about the 'difficult decision' to separate but said: "Our main focus as always is to continue loving and supporting our children." They also added that "we'll always be a loving family, we still have a great relationship and still live happily in our family home together."

Christine recently shared that she had suffered a heartbreaking loss while on a trip to Devon. The former model whisked herself off for some alone time on the beach following the split.

She typed with stunning photos and video of herself on the sands: "One night in Devon. Solo sunsets are a healer. Feeling blessed to have worked on something special this week in such a stunning part of England.

"My passion lead me to peace. After a heavy thinking day I took some time out on my own and reminded myself how temporary time is and how precious life is. Grateful for this night."

However the mum-of-three shared how she'd taken a step back from social media after her beloved grandmother died. She said she has been "taking time out" in a post at sunset on the beach where she penned her sad news.

"I know I’m being quieter on here, I hope to be back properly soon," she wrote over the beautiful image. "I’m just needing time out, thinking lots, life is short, unpredictable and sometimes crazy."

She then went on to explain: "My nan, the one with the words of wisdom, she joined grandad in heaven last week and it’s hit me harder than I ever imagined. I’m just needing time out, thinking lots, life is short, unpredictable and sometimes crazy. Then my dad turned 60…

"If you have read my story you will understand why this is huge. I can’t help but wonder how he made it this far. But I’m so grateful he is still here, even with his struggles, I’m thankful for that.” She added: "Anyway, life is crazy, we’re halfway through the school summer holidays. Again, if you know, you know!"

In December the couple left viewers in tears with their emotional documentary Our Family and Autism aired on BBC One. They told their story as parents of twins Leo and Penelope, nine, and five-year-old Felicity who were all diagnosed with autism.

The cameras followed Christine as she was also diagnosed with autism. After the TV show the pair encouraged others to 'never give up' after making more progress with their children.
