Christine McGuinness nervous about returning to TV after intentionally taking months off as she shows off new look

Former The Real Housewives of Cheshire star Christine McGuinness has announced her return to TV while asking viewers to "go easy" on her. The mum-of-three took to her Instagram Stories to say that, after months away from our screens, she'll be appearing on the ITV afternoon chat show Loose Women.

The model, who announced her split from Top Gear and Question of Sport host Paddy McGuinness in July, said she had 'intentionally' taken months off from TV and is "nervous" about being back in front of the camera. She wrote: "I have intentionally taken months off away from TV. I'm back with @loosewomen tomorrow.

Christine added: "I wont lie. I'm actually nervous. Go easy on me." She added a teaser clip for her appearance as Loose Woman star Coleen Nolan informed fans about her guest appearance.

"With three autistic children and recently diagnosed herself she'll open up about the challenges she faces and how her experiences have inspred other young people," said Coleen.

In new snaps shared by Christine she looked completely different as she covered her blonde tresses with a beanie hat, worn with a long checked coat and cargo trousers and trainers. She spoke of a "progressive" step she had made by catching trains instead of driving.

"Catching trains now like an absolute pro after years of insisting on driving myself to and from London," she wrote. "That's good progressive change for me small steps."

Christine, 34, recently shared about her time in London, attending a press screening for her new documentary as well as walking at London Fashion Week and her excitement at getting her hands on her debut children's book. The documentary, titled Christine McGuinness: Unmasking My Autism, is her solo TV project since she split from Bolton TV presenter Paddy McGuinness last year.

Christine and Paddy's children Felicity, Leo and Penelope all have autism and after their diagnosis Christine was also confirmed as autistic. In the documentary Christine will reveal how autism in women and girls has been ignored and misunderstood by science and society, leaving thousands of women are living undiagnosed.

It follows the BBC One documentary Paddy and Christine McGuinness: Our Family and Autism, screened in November 2021, in which they met other parents, experts and people on the autism spectrum. The programme also followed Christine's diagnosis.

"What an incredible couple of days in the city," she wrote about her London trip. I had a private press screening for my new @bbc documentary coming soon!!!"

She added: "Walked ‘London Fashion Week’ with a show for the amazing @stevevyse @madlovelondonofficial for one of my favourite charities @pinkribbonfoundation. Finally got my hands on my debut Childrens book Amazing Me, Amazing You available to pre order on @amazon @whsmithofficial @waterstones."

Earlier this month she shared a montage of her "life lately" as she said she had been "hiding and grinding." The picture and video collection included Christine showing off her toned abs at the gym.
