Christine McGuinness has given a fresh update on single life, several months after announcing her split from husband Paddy McGuinness. The couple announced they had separated back in July following rumours their 11-year marriage had come to an end.
Top Gear host Paddy and former Real Housewives of Cheshire star posted identical statements on Instagram at the time where they opened up about making the "difficult decision". They shared that they had split "some time ago" but that they "still live happily in our family home together" as they look after their three children.
But in a new interview, Christine admitted she is "open" to dating again, however, she said she is in no "big rush" to find love again. She said: "I'm open to it [dating] this year. But I’ve got time. We’ll see what happens. It’s not really something that I’ve got on my radar. In your 30s, how do you date? Where do you go? Where do you start? I’ve been with Patrick for 15 years, I’m certainly not in a big rush to jump into anything."

She was also asked by The Sun about her New Year's post in which she renamed 2023 as she said she was "ready for 202FREE". Asked if she meant she felt 'liberated', the 34-year-old laughed: "Well, I think when you’re a mum, you’re never completely free! But yeah, it feels quite freeing, I’m at a totally different stage of my life, a different chapter.“Obviously, I’m separated from Patrick, which we can’t say too much on, but we’re co-parenting more, so I have got time where the children are with Daddy.
"That’s wonderful. It’s amazing that he’s got that time with them, I have my own time with them, and we all have time together as well. With my free time, it’s about trying to work more, although most of the time I end up just staying at home. I’m not scared. I’m not sad or anxious. I’m excited."
But while she looks ahead to moving on, Christine said there is one thing she will hang on to from her marriage. "Yes, I am going to stay McGuinness," she told the publication. "It’s something I’ve always said, even when we’ve been joking about it in the past. I want to keep the same name as my children, but I will eventually move to 'Miss'."
Christine's new interview comes after the mum-of-three apologised to fans after another social media silence. The former model had been pretty quiet on her Instagram, where she usually offers updates on her latest glam appearances and everyday life as a busy mum-of-three.
But Christine returned on Friday night (January 27) as she shared a glimpse inside her reunion with her bestie Chelcee Grimes. The pair formed a close bond after meeting on ITV show, The Games, last year but it appears it's been a while since Christine and singer and footballer Chelcee got together for a catch-up.
She shared a video to her Instagram Story which showed her back at her Cheshire home. The mum-of-three could be seen donning a cosy grey jumper with her hair pushed back from her face with a grey band as she looked into the camera. "Sorry I've been lost in my head for a minute..." she typed alongside the clip which also featured the family's black and white cat. "But I'm back... again!" she added.
