Christine McGuinness breaks social media silence and tells fans not to worry

Christine McGuinness has broken her social media silence to share a TV update.

The former Miss Liverpool is active on Instagram as she regularly posts updates from her family life. The 35-year-old is the proud mum of Felicity, Leo and Penelope, who have all been diagnosed with autism.

She has won plaudits as she uses her platform to raise awareness and offer an insight into what life is like living with the condition. Christine took to Instagram last week to offer an emotional update as she revealed she is going to embark on a digital detox.

She said: "In a world of algorithms, hashtags and followers, I really want to embrace the true importance of human connection and go back to basics for a bit. P.S.. Im not really sure what I think about the whole ‘social media silence’ announcement thing but I have lots of lovely followers on here who check in on me daily and I don’t want to worry anyone whilst I have a little quiet time.

"I am very happy and healthy, I’m just ready to embrace switching off, being present and living low key for a while."

However, Christine has broken her social media silence to confirm she is currently appearing on Celebrity Hunted. The show sees stars try to avoid being captured by a team of hunters and her social media silence will aid her remaining undetected.

Christine is competing on the show as part of Channel 4's Stand Up 2 Cancer campaign to raise funds for cancer research. She is appearing on the programme alongside Blue's Duncan James
