Christine McGuinness addresses Paddy split rumours as she admits to 'very difficult' time

Christine McGuinness has spoken out about her current relationship with her husband Paddy after rumours the pair have split. The ex-model has admitted the pair, who have been married for 11 years, are having a "very, very difficult time."

Speculation about the relationship between Paddy, 48, and Christine, 34, has been rife for months after the Bolton-born comedian wasn't seen publically supporting his wife during her stint on ITV’s The Games before the pair went on separate holidays last month.

After sharing a series of cryptic posts on social media in recent days, mum-of-three Christine has told The Sun: "What I might have put up with in the past, I probably wouldn’t put up with now, and the same for him," before sharing: "I can’t deny we are having a very, very difficult time."

"It’s just — we’ve been together 15 years, 11 years married: we are gonna have ups and downs — but this situation at the minute — I don’t want to go into it too much but I will just say that I didn’t cause this situation," she added.

Her latest comments comes weeks after Christine herself shut down rumours of a split by saying; "We’re really good, honestly." The Top Gear host and former The Real Housewives of Cheshire star met back while Christine was doing a fashion show for Cricket at a Liverpool Tennis Tournament.

Christine, who was still wearing her engagement ring when chatting with The Sun's Fabulous magazine, said couples 'expect' ups and downs in their relationship, especially if you have 'been together for so long'.

"Everyone grows and changes and we’ve grown as a family, which is amazing,’ she said. "You know, that family bond will always be there no matter what but yeah, I was a teenager when I met him and I’m a 34-year-old woman now."

The couple share three children – twins Penelope and Leo, nine, and Felicity, six. Last year, Christine bravely revealed she had been diagnosed as autistic - just like all three of her children. She told the Manchester Evening News in November that her diagnosis came as 'such a huge relief.'

Just months after learning she had autism, Christine was diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder - better known as ADHD. The condition includes symptoms such as being restless and having trouble concentrating.

Christine told the Daily Star : "I’ve now been diagnosed with ADHD, autism and dyspraxia. Knowledge is key. If you know the situation, you’re able to deal with it. So getting a diagnosis has really opened up my life. It’s given me so much more opportunity to understand why I was the way I was."
