Christine said: "I'm not a great swimmer either. I think it comes from my mum, [she] hates water as well... So we were never big swimmers.
"I nearly drowned when I was about seven or eight. I remember dad literally pulling me out of the swimming pool, and I remember that feeling.
"So I was never a fan of it. And then I randomly agreed to get involved with a big Sport Relief task, quite a few years ago now, and I water-skiied the Channel.
"22 miles across the English Channel."
She added: "They told me if I fell more than three or four times I'd be physically exhausted, that I wouldn't have the energy to continue. And I fell, it must have been seven or eight times..
"It was so intense, the English Channel, we had to stop for big tankers sailing past us...
"We raised a lot of money."
Christine received a huge cheer from the studio audience.
The Newtownards woman then added: "If you face your fears sometimes, great things can come of it."
