Christine Lampard joked about her husband Frank's return to Chelsea FC as she hosted Lorraine today.
The presenter was standing in for Lorraine Kelly today, and Ross King immediately noticed her outfit tribute to her husband Frank, after it was confirmed he was back at the London club in the role of caretaker manager until the end of the season.
Frank stepped up as Chelsea manager following Graham Potter's sacking from the football club, which has mostly had a bad run of results as of late and Frank will no doubt be trying to help the Blues move up the Premiere League Table.
As Christine said good morning to Ross, he quickly remarked about her outfit choice, telling her: "Great to see you back in Chelsea blue Christine. Like it, nice one Frank," as he admired the blue outfit she was wearing.
Christine then joked about what happened, saying: "Subliminal messaging going on!" before Ross added it was great to see Frank back.
At the end of the entertainment US segment, Christine made a joke about her husband's reappointment to Chelsea, as she shared: "Anyway thanks so much Ross. Like Frank you'll be back later on."
Frank's return was announced last week following Graham Potter's exit.
Co-controlling owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali said at the time: "We are delighted to welcome Frank back to Stamford Bridge. Frank is a Premier League Hall of Famer and a legend at this club.
"As we continue our thorough and exhaustive process for a permanent head coach, we want to provide the club and our fans with a clear and stable plan for the remainder of the season. We want to give ourselves every chance of success and Frank has all of the characteristics and qualities we need to drive us to the finish line. We have an important game against Wolves on Saturday and then we will turn our attention to our Champions League quarter-final in Madrid next week.
"We are all going to give Frank our full backing as we aim to get the best possible outcome from all our remaining games."
However, his first match back in charge didn't go to plan and Frank tore into his players and insisted they have to change their mindset after Chelsea fell to a disappointing 1-0 defeat against Wolves.
After the game, he said: "In terms of the performance, in the first-half I thought we were slightly off the pace. You could feel Wolves were aggressive, fighting for their Premier League status.
"I felt they had a little bit more aggression in their game. That's something I said to the players at half-time. I think we corrected that slightly in the early parts of the second-half, but at that point, you're 1-0 down."
