Christina Aguilera stunned the crowd at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena last night as her UK tour arrived in the city.
Fans packed out the arena last night to see the Ain’t No Other Man and Genie in a Bottle singer perform her greatest hits - as well as songs from her new album ‘Aguilera’. And boy did we get what we asked for.
The 41-year-old singer opened her concert with a range of hits including Dirrty, Can’t Hold Us Down and Genie In A Bottle. The crowd was more than enthusiastic and showed their appreciation by singing each and every word right back to the star.

The Grammy Award winning star is known for bringing together different genres and slipping effortlessly between ballads and upbeat dance numbers, and she certainly kept us on our toes. Fans will know the Grammy Award winning star's first big hit was Genie in a Bottle in 1999 before she went on to become one of the biggest selling artists in the 2000s with hits like Lady Marmalade and What A Girl Wants.
Last night took crowds through every era of the star’s career, right up to date as she performed a number of songs from her latest Spanish-language album ‘Aguilera’. Among the performances were Santo, which she released earlier this year featuring rapper and singer Ozuna, and Pa Mis Muchachas, her new song with Becky G and Nicki Nicole.
The crowd belted the words right back at her, dancing along and some even dressed up in 00s outfits as a nod to the singer. Among the biggest hitters with fans were Candyman, Lady Marmalade and Beautiful.
Throughout the night, Christina made a number of outfit changes with each more stunning than the last. Transforming from futuristic dancer to soulful, ballad-belting queen, she held the crowd captivated to the last second.
Another highlight of the evening were Christina’s dancers, who gave it their all and kept the crowd hyped up during brief costume changes and even throwing t-shirts into the audience at one point. During the night, Christina stopped to speak to the crowd a couple of times, thanking everyone for being there and even offering some insight into why she’d chosen to release her new album in Spanish.
According to the star, she’s “always felt connected to her Spanish roots” and wanted to pay tribute to them with this new album. The star also promised that an English-language album “is coming”.
It was a night full of magic, laughter, dancing and some phenomenal music. The atmosphere was electric and I wish I could do it all over again tonight.
