Two new options for Christian Pulisic have emerged this window with a transfer away from Stamford Bridge on the cards. After only scoring one goal all season, the winger went past that tally for his national team in just one game when he got two against Mexico in the CONCACAF Nations League semi-final last week.
It means that Pulisic has now scored more for USMNT than he has for Chelsea in the league since joining in 2019. As the club make haste in their promise of a summer exodus from Stamford Bridge, the 24-year-old is amongst those primed for an exit.
With a group of ageing players set for moves to Saudi Arabia from Chelsea in the coming weeks, Kai Havertz making strides towards joining Arsenal, Ruben Loftus-Cheek to AC Milan and Mateo Kovacic to Manchester City all happening quickly, Pulisic is in limbo.
Mauricio Pochettino is set to start life as the new manager on July 1 as preparations start for the pre-season tour of America next month and Pulisic, who's future lies outside of SW6, is no closer to finding out where his future lies.
"I don't keep any social media on my phone anymore so I probably don't see as much as you guys think I do. I don't know what's going on," he said last month.
"People will text me sometimes and be like, 'you're going here?' And I'll be like, 'I didn't even know that.' So, they know more than me most of the time."

He now has a period of holiday after leaving the USMNT camp following the Nations League triumph. "As I said, right now it's in the back of my head," he said of his future. "I'm not even thinking about where I want to be next season, I'm focused on the national team, I want to be here, I want to win games, that's the sole focus of mine.
"When the time comes I need to also rest after this, get away from the game a bit and enjoy my break, see my family and all those kinds of things. Once it's time to make decisions and see what options I have then I'll deal with it, until then I'm just focused here."
Now there are fresh links for the 24-year-old over a move. With AC Milan the favourites for his signature currently due to their ongoing interest and previous talks of a deal, fellow Italians Napoli and Juventus are also in the mix.
The newest links are somewhat of a surprise, though. It is said in French outlet L'Equipe that Lyon are making him a priority addition to their squad. The Ligue 1 side are said to be keen on making a statement American addition to their squad, like Napoli, and are said to have held talks with the player in an effort to convince him of a move.
Pulisic is reportedly willing to take a sizeable pay cut in order to open up new destinations and Chelsea will only demand a £20million ($24m) fee for him as well. The Blues would make profit on the books for Pulisic if they were to recoup more than £12million ($15.2m) after getting four years out of him following the £54million ($68.6m) transfer from Borussia Dortmund.
There could yet be a twist in this story, too. With Eagle Football Holdings being the controlling shareholding in Lyon, led by American businessman John Textor, they are the same people with 45% of shares in Crystal Palace, who have also been floated as a potential new club for Pulisic.
With ambitions to play in Europe, Palace's interest may yet prove unlikely but with a transfer preferred for all sides, Chelsea and Pulisic taking steps to reach an amicable decision still appears destined to happen.
