Christian Pulisic sends cryptic message ahead of Chelsea transfer as AC Milan decision made

As Christian Pulisic edges closer to a move away from Chelsea he has continued to post snippets from his holiday. Following his most disappointing season at Stamford Bridge yet he went on to play a key role for USMNT in their CONCACAF Nations League triumph.

Captaining his side in the absence of Tyler Adams, Pulisic lead the way for BJ Callaghan's side, scoring twice in a 3-0 semi-final win over Mexico before helping the team to a 2-0 victory over Canada to secure the trophy for a second consecutive year.

It means that Pulisic scored more goals for his country throughout the 2022/23 season than he did for Chelsea, only managing one in all competitions. Now, with a mass exodus of players continuing at Stamford Bridge, the American is set to leave, cutting short his five year contract.

With AC Milan now offering a bid that has been accepted by Chelsea, believed to be around £18.8million ($24.1million), his exit is now all but a formality. Having seen interest in him grow throughout the window so far, Milan agreed personal terms with Pulisic weeks ago and a move to San Siro has been his preferred choice for a while.

Even with Lyon reportedly sending in a larger opening bid for Pulisic last week, Chelsea have reached another agreement with the Rossoneri. They let Ruben Loftus-Cheek end his 19 year stay at the club after a deal worth up to £18million ($23.1million) earlier this window too.

Now, with Pulisic enjoying some time away from football, Chelsea are preparing to head to USA for their pre-season tour without their American star on the books. Despite being the perfect marketing and commercial tool for such a trip, Pulisic is no longer expected to join his current team in their journey across the Pacific, instead making his way to Italy.

His social media activity in the mean time has left some seriously confused. His latest post, an image alongside friends, has the caption: "1 Corinthians 13:4-7."

The verse in the bible is one typically used at weddings and reads: "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."

What the underlying message is here is unknown, if there is one at all for Pulisic. For now, though, he is gearing up for a big career change.
