Christian Pulisic reveals Chelsea conversations and breaks silence on Graham Potter exit

Christian Pulisic has insisted the Chelsea squad must 'come together' for the remainder of the season after Graham Potter was sacked on Sunday evening. The Blues are 11th in the Premier League table and are 11 points behind the Champions League places.

In the first game since Potter's exit, Chelsea continued their lacklustre season with a dull 0-0 draw with Liverpool. Bruno Saltor guided the west Londoners to their first league clean sheet since the start of March but the game lacked quality in the final third.

The result all-but-ended the Blues' chances of finishing in the top four meaning the only way of bringing Champions League football to Stamford Bridge next season is to win the prestigious competition this term.

Chelsea face reigning champions Real Madrid in the quarter-final this month before potentially coming up against either Bayern Munich or Manchester City in the final four.

Potter's sacking did not come as a surprise following the weekend's 2-0 defeat to high-flyers Aston Villa. Since Todd Boehly's decision to end Potter's seven months in the capital, a number of players have sent their own personal messages on social media.

And after the goalless draw with Liverpool on Tuesday, Pulisic was asked about his thoughts on the situation at the club. "It's a tough situation for a lot of people," the USMNT star said.

"It's just been changing in general in the club this year. Now with the manager out, it's a new challenge and the guys are just trying to stick together the best we can."

Asked whether a meeting has been held between the players, he said: "There's conversations among us, yeah. It's just about coming together. We still have stuff to achieve this season and that's what we're going to do."
