Christian Pulisic responds to AC Milan transfer message with six-word reply about Chelsea exit

Christian Pulisic has sent a message to AC Milan fans as he arrives in Italy ahead of completing a transfer from Chelsea.

The 24-year-old is set to have his medical in Milan on Wednesday before being announced as a new player for Stefano Pioli following the conclusion of talks between both sides. Having held out for £18.9million ($24.2million), the Blues are now ready to make him their second sale to San Siro of the window after Ruben Loftus-Cheek moved earlier this summer.

The 27-year-old opened up on the arrival of his ex-teammate ahead of his announcement, spilling the beans. "Christian Pulisic is coming [to Milan] tomorrow," he said in a press conference. "We have already spoken. He will really help us. I told him he has to give everything because he's among the best in the world."

Pulisic has now arrived, though, and is already being paraded in front of fans despite no official announcement from either club. In a video online, Milan posted a message from Pulisic, saying: "Hi AC Milan supporters, it's Christian Pulisic. I've just arrived in Milan, I'm so excited to be here and I can't wait to get started."

He will now join on a four-year contract, cutting short his five-year deal at Stamford Bridge with this transfer. After struggling to cement his place in the side across a tough period for player and club, Pulisic now has the chance to prove himself elsewhere across Europe.

He is sure to be made welcome in Italy, with his new club teasing the arrival with videos of him at the airport, writing: "Touchdown in Milan." They also posted to their Instagram story: "@cmpulisic is here! [hand wave emoji]."

When pressed by an excited press pack outside arrivals, Pulisic said simply: "I'm very happy to be here," and continued his journey alongside his dad.

An announcement confirming the move is now expected imminently.
