Christian Pulisic has revealed his disappointment for his Chelsea colleague Ben Chilwell after the left-back suffered a hamstring injury during Champions League action on Wednesday night.
Chilwell will miss a minimum of three weeks and likely more time after the injury suffered in the second half of Chelsea's win against Dinamo Zagreb in midweek. He left the stadium on crutches and now appears to be a serious doubt for the World Cup which is now just a couple of weeks away.
Pulisic and Chilwell are teammates for their club, but were set to do battle on the pitch in Qatar, with the USA facing England in what is likely to be a huge World Cup Group B clash on November 25th. However, this injury now means that only Pulisic is likely to make it to the tournament.

The American winger had some encouraging words following the match for his teammate saying that he knows that the England man will be back on the pitch soon. He told reporters: "You never like to see anyone go down with injuries, so for Chilly we hope that it's a quick one and it's not as bad as we think - I know he'll be back soon."
It is the first time that Pulisic will play on the world stage for his country, with the USMNT star having missed the 2018 World Cup due to his nation's failure to qualify. However, the former Borussia Dortmund winger did not appear concerned with the chance of obtaining a similar injury which could rule him out of contention and insisted that players are not thinking about potentially picking up a knock ahead of the World Cup.
He continued: "You can't think like that, you go into the match and this is the schedule that we have now. We go in and give as best we can - give 100% like we always do and you hope for the best."
