Christian Pulisic admits “things change quickly” as the Chelsea forward’s future continues to prove the subject of speculation.
Despite hailing Graham Potter’s arrival as a “fresh start”, the USA captain has appeared in only four of the 11 games since Thomas Tuchel’s sacking.
Chelsea, meanwhile, are keen to further strengthen their frontline and Standard Sport understands the club have been offered Atletico Madrid pair Joao Felix and Matheus Cunha ahead of the January transfer window.
Following Armando Broja’s season-ending knee injury, Potter is weighing up a move for a new forward when the market opens next month and is also interested in Borussia Dortmund’s Youssoufa Moukoko.
A £52.7m deal to bring RB Leipzig and France forward Christopher Nkunku to Stamford Bridge is also thought to have been agreed for next summer, pushing Pulisic further down the pecking order.
The 24-year-old was keen to leave west London over the course of the summer amid loan interest from Manchester United, while Newcastle have since been linked with a move.
Speaking while on a guest on the Indirect Podcast, Pulisic said: “Right now I’m absolutely back at Chelsea and focused and ready to finish the season, but you know how things work in football.
“Things change quickly and anything can happen. At the moment I am just pushing myself in training and working at Chelsea because that’s where I am right now.”
