Christian Horner under investigation by Red Bull over allegations of 'inappropriate behaviour'

Red Bull Racing team boss Christian Horner is under investigation following allegations against him made by an employee.

Horner has vehemently denied any wrongdoing regarding claims of what the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf called “inappropriate behaviour”.

But the Briton is now the subject of an investigation launched by the team and carried out by an external lawyer.

Red Bull said in a statement: “After the company was made aware of certain recent allegations, an independent investigation was launched.

“This process, which is already ongoing, is being carried out by an external, specialised lawyer.

“The company takes these matters extremely seriously and the investigation will be completed as soon as practical. It would not be appropriate to comment further at this time.”

In a brief statement, Horner said: “I completely deny these claims.”

Horner has been team principal of Red Bull Racing since they first joined Formula One in 2005 and helped guide them to dominant victories in both the constructors and drivers’ championships last season.
