Rookie linebacker Christian Harris went down in the third quarter of the Houston Texans’ Week 14 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys with an unspecified injury. Play was stopped while he was attended to, and backup Jalen Reeves-Maybin was called on to replace him following the injury. He would walk to the locker room under his own power.
The loss of Harris could be a huge development in the game, as Houston’s defense is ill-equipped to keep up with the Cowboys’ high-octane offense. Dallas hosts an impressive cast of offensive talent that can make life difficult for any defense both in the running and passing games.
Harris’s role in the Texans’ defense has grown over the course of the season, and he has been in a starting spot since making his debut in late October. He was held out for the first part of Houston’s schedule due to a hamstring injury.
