Christian Eriksen's brilliant 5-word response after Martin Odegaard criticism

Christian Eriksen was in a buoyant mood following Manchester United's 3-1 win over Arsenal on Sunday.

The Red Devils star was heavily involved in a contentious moment in the match after Arsenal saw an early Gabriel Martinelli goal chalked off for a foul in the build-up.

Martin Odegaard went in hard on the midfielder in the centre of the park - in full view of the referee - dispossessing him and sending the Gunners on their way to opening the scoring. United players surrounded Paul Tierney in the immediate aftermath, prompting him to review the incident on a pitchside monitor before chalking off the goal.

Odegaard was angry with the decision, saying: "In my opinion, it's never a foul. For me, it is very, very soft. On the camera, you can always make it look a little bit worse. It's frustrating."

He added: "I barely touched him, they keep saying this is the Premier League and want it to be physical. I don't understand how he can go back on it."

Eriksen, on the other hand, was in a slightly better mood following the fixture and had five choice words in response to the result.

He said on Sky Sports: "It was a lovely afternoon."

The victory sees Man United move to fifth in the Premier League, with Erik ten Hag's side now winning four games on the trot.

The Red Devils boss said after the match: "I must say Arsenal played well, but we defend well. And I never had the feeling they would break us. And they had good possession, a lot of movement and creativity.

"But we had a good defending line, but we defend as a team with all eleven [players]. But still, we can have better pressing organisation, we can keep them further away from our goal and control them very well. We need a little more composure on the ball. And you can control and dictate the game even more."
