Christian Eriksen has been linked with a move back to Tottenham, which would also see him reunite with his former Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte. The Dane has been thriving on his return to the Premier League, after almost a year without playing following his cardiac arrest during Euro 2020.
Eriksen signed a short-term contract with Brentford in January where he has so far made four appearances, scoring one goal and registering an assist. However when the summer transfer window comes along, a number of clubs could target the 30-year-old, including Spurs and he could join the list of free agents that Fabio Paratici may look to.
Reports have suggested that there have been not talks as of yet to extend the Denmark international's contract, but the Bees will put in a long-term offer. But with Eriksen's links with the north London club and Antonio Conte, an offer from his current side isn't likely to put Paratici off if he does decide to target the midfielder.

After the January transfer window had closed and Eriksen had made the move to Brentford, Conte was asked about the prospect of a reunion with his former player.
"For sure, Eriksen is part of Tottenham's story. To come back here would be a good opportunity for him, for me, for the club, but now he's signed for Brentford, only six months, and we'll see what happens," the Italian admitted.
"I'm the first person to be happy to see him again on the pitch because we spent a really good time at Inter Milan together. We won the league, we spent two important seasons together.
"I wish him all the best for the future and you don't know what will happen. It would be good for me to have him again, to work together."
The 52-year-old clearly highlighted the good relationship he has with Eriksen, and the Dane has previously echoed this, with his adaptation to Conte's way of managing whilst the duo were at Inter. "I arrived at Inter with an open mind to learn," the 30-year-old said after the Italian side won the Serie A title last year.
"What I didn’t understand at the start is that I always had to follow Conte’s system, that I had to remember and execute all the moves he’d prepared for the team. Beforehand, I was more used to playing on intuition, I was free to make decisions in a split second based on what I saw on the pitch.
"But with Conte there’s always a general plan to follow; you must be prepared, always know where your teammates are and where they could move. I had to learn all of this and adapt to a different tempo," Eriksen added.
The Italian has already shown at Tottenham that he follows a regimented structure and likes to stick to a variation of his favoured 3-4-3/3-5-2 formation. It has taken some time for some of the Spurs players to adapt, but individual performances and overall team display's have massively improved in the last couple of months.
"He is extremely important for everyone, also for the way we play. We follow his instructions to the letter and you can see it on the pitch," the midfielder continued about his former coach.
"The situation changed when I had the chance to play more regularly and I gained the confidence of my teammates and the coach."
In the summer window, the Spurs boss needs players to come in who can adapt quickly to both his methods and the Premier League, to help make an immediate impact on the side. Who better to do this than someone who has played for Tottenham and under Conte?
Eriksen has already scored 69 goals and registered 90 assists for the Lilywhites, in the 305 appearances he made. He would know exactly what to expect if he made the move back to N17 and should definitely be someone Paratici considers, when the summer window opens.
