Chrissy Teigen's stunning closet functions like a kitchen – and it's the simplest and most stylish way to organize your clothes in 2025

Chrissy Teigen.

Some closets are beautifully organized, others are more created for function; the best dressing rooms, however, unite both purposes. Though a closet is tucked away, it's also a space homeowners spend a lot of time looking at, so it's a missed opportunity to prioritize pure function without considering its aesthetic. Chrissy Teigen's closet perfectly marries these philosophies.

We caught a glimpse of Teigen's closet storage in a recent Instagram post, and it's absolutely gorgeous. The model's clothes hang in tall, glass-fronted cabinets. Shelves in the top of the cabinets form perfect bag storage. Above the cabinets, baskets hold more items. In the center of the room, a wood and granite island creates the perfect space for accessories storage. Most striking, it almost looks like a kitchen.

Glass-fronted cabinets have been a huge kitchen trend this year. The transparent fronts allow light to flow through the space and show off beautiful dishes. Similarly, Teigen's glass-fronted cabinets show off the beauty of her colorful clothes, while keeping them protected from dust, moths, and sunlight. Similarly, vertical, open storage has reigned in the kitchen space. In Teigen's closet, it creates space to store her bags above her clothes while still using them as decor. This both maximizes storage and the visual impact of the closet.

Shop the Closet Organization Edit

The storage island is another essential technique borrowed from the kitchen and transposed onto the closet. Over the past year or so, I've seen it appear in many celebrity homes, perhaps defining a new organizing trend for 2025. As seen in Teigen's space, it's a brilliant idea because it transforms a simple closet into a dressing room. Not only does it provide space to store small items like socks and underwear that are traditionally organized in a dresser. It also provides extra space to keep accessories and jewelry safe from the light.

Though you might not want to transform your entire closet into a kitchen, using the storage elements pioneered by this space is a brilliant way to maximize organization. For inspiration, just look to Chrissy Teigen.
