Chrissy Teigen's rich living room textures infuse her earthy color scheme with life – it's the best take on warm neutrals I've ever seen

Chrissy Teigen.

Organic tones like brown and green are stunning, but can sometimes look a bit flat. For this reason, they've never been my personal favorite. Chrissy Teigen's living room is changing my mind.

The model's neutral living room idea incorporates a variety of textures to add depth and interest to the earthy scheme. The background consists of a moss green accent wall finished in a brushed paint, and a curved staircase with a golden railing. This metal on Chrissy's stairs coordinates with the gold of the mirror above her console table, and the material of her stunning Nacho Carbonell art piece.

Though I've never been a fan of these neutral colors (I tend to prefer more maximalist schemes), Chrissy Teigen's textured design gives the shades a new richness that I can't help but admire. The introduction of natural materials like the natural wood in the sofa to bring in an earthy feel that makes the California space feel simultaneously grounded and elevated. The woodsy design on the couch pillow and the organic art piece adds to this natural feel.

Furthermore, Chrissy Teigen's a masterclass in the use of texture in interior design. The contrast between the matte walls and metallic accessories add depth and instant warmth to the background, making even the beige and green tones of the room feel more interesting. To replicate her look, consider using a mix of shiny and flat paints, fabrics, and accents in your space.

If neutral colors aren't your thing, seeing them done well might change your mind. The perfect blend of textures is the perfect way to transform a done-before scheme into something completely new.
