Chrissy Teigen's kids 'are excited' at sibling possibility after star completes IVF

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are trying to add to their family and their two kids are said to be excited at the possibility of having a baby sibling.

Model Chrissy, 36, and her musician hubby John, 43, have kept their two kids - Luna, five, and Miles, three - in the loop regarding their IVF treatment and the All of Me singer has opened up on how they feel about it.

Speaking to PEOPLE, John said his kids "know we are trying and they are excited".

However, he stressed that the IVF process wasn't easy and added: "There are a lot of women and families that have fertility struggles and I think no one should feel ashamed of needing some help sometimes.

"And I think Chrissy's done a good job of destigmatizing some of these things that so many people go through in silence."

He continued: "Whether it's IVF, or other fertility struggles, whether it's losing a pregnancy, I think both of us have felt like it's good for us to share this with other people because other people are going through it too, we don't think they should suffer in silence without knowing there are other people out there feeling the same thing."

By talking openly about the process, John admits he hopes that the couple will bring awareness to the issue of fertility issues.

The pair tragically suffered a miscarriage in September 2020 when Chrissy was 20 weeks pregnant. Shortly after, she revealed the devastating news that she wouldn't be able to carry a child again.

The model wrote an emotional Instagram post at the time telling her fans the couple were "shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we've never felt before."

She did however express her gratitude for her other two children, both of whom were conceived via IVF.

Chrissy admits she is feeling better now her IVF part has finished after previously revealing she was undergoing the egg retrieval process.

Also during a recent interview with ET, Chrissy touched upon her sobriety having given up alcohol last year.

She announced that she'd reached 100 days sober in October and said that while she has now "lost count" on her sobriety journey, the progress has made such events easier to deal with - as she no longer feels embarrassment the next day.
