Former Newcastle United winger Chris Waddle hopes a Carabao Cup win will get the ball rolling for the Magpies. It's the Toon's first final under new ownership and their first trip to Wembley in two decades.
The richest club in world football may not yet be at the loft heights their financial position equates to, but Newcastle are slowly building towards that goal. Champions League football would be a huge step towards boosting their income streams and help them compete for silverware on a consistent basis.
There has been plenty of debate on social media about what would be more important for the club - silverware or Champions League football. However, Waddle say Newcastle may just have a slight advantage heading into the final.

Waddle told BETDAQ: “The owners will definitely want the top four, it will put some change in their pocket. The League Cup is a competition that Newcastle needs to start winning, it will hopefully get the ball rolling for them, but it’s the Champions League that is where the mega money is.
"The players will want the cup, but the owners will want the top four. The advantage they have going into the League Cup final is that Manchester United have four games before they play, and Newcastle have one. Fitness wise it will help, and we know United have a good squad, but they have to play Barcelona twice.”
