Chris Sutton has claimed that "something has gone horribly wrong" in the club's bid to replace Jesse Marsch, who is reportedly on the verge of becoming Southampton's new manager.
Marsch was sacked last week following a 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest. Leeds are without a Premier League win since November and the American's time had come to an end at Elland Road.
It is now thought that he is set to become the new Southampton manager following Nathan Jones' sacking. The Saints appear to have wasted no time to get a new head coach in, yet Leeds have now gone more than a week without naming Marsch's successor.

And Sutton has now criticised the Whites for a perceived lack of planning on their part following their decision to part ways with Marsch.
“It’s amazing really, what’s gone on at Leeds. The decision to sack Jesse Marsch," he told BBC’s Monday Night Club.
“Well okay, based on two wins in 17 – something like that – but they made the decision to make the change and Marsch went with the majority of his staff, so everybody is thinking ‘wow, they must have a plan, somebody is going to come in soon’ and then [Andrea] Radrizzani tweeted that and suggested that somebody would be in on Wednesday morning.
“Something has gone horribly wrong. I actually think the owner has, the way they have dealt with the situation of bringing players in in January, making the decision so late in the day, if Leeds go down it’s on the owners far more than Jesse Marsch. If they didn’t have faith in him, well sack him earlier then.”
