Chris Sutton has predicted Nottingham Forest will suffer an emphatic defeat to Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.
Steve Cooper ’s new-look side have enjoyed some encouraging results since their opening defeat to Newcastle. The Reds recorded their first top-flight win since 1999 against West Ham, which was followed by a draw at Everton and topped off with a 3-0 victory in midweek over Grimsby Town in the Carabao Cup.
Forest have been eager to build a squad capable of competing in the Premier League, bringing in 16 new signings, while more players could be on the way before the transfer deadline. Sutton has praised the club’s start to the campaign - but has predicted that Spurs will smash Forest 5-0 at the City Ground on Sunday.

“I like the way Forest have started,” Sutton told BBC Sport . “They have spent a lot of money and you can look at that in different ways, if you are a Forest supporter you are thinking the owner is showing great intent.
“They have a good manager in Steve Cooper but this type of team might play right into Spurs' hands. I've not been disappointed in Spurs, but I think they got away with it at Chelsea and beat Wolves narrowly last week thanks to Harry Kane's goal.
“They haven't been flowing - Son Heung-min is in my fantasy team and needs to get into gear. But Forest at home will try and take the game to Spurs and that might suit Antonio Conte's side.”
Spurs began the season with a convincing 4-1 home win over Southampton but only salvaged a 2-2 draw with Chelsea courtesy of a 96th minute header from Harry Kane. Conte’s side were rescued by Kane once again last weekend as he scored the only goal of the game against Wolves.
