Chris Sutton in 'real' Rangers troll after Celtic come out on top in Hampden Scottish Cup semi final

Pundit Chris Sutton has been quick to give his reaction to Celtic's 1-0 win over Rangers in the semi final of the Scottish Cup, and once again poked fun at Michael Beale's Light Blues.

The Gers had the better of the play for most of the game and passed up several chances, but Celtic showed why they are in pole position to secure a domestic Treble by scoring the winner after capitalising on a lack of concentration in the Ibrox backline.

With just three minutes of the first half remaining, Borna Barisic and Nicolas Raskin froze after Matt O'Riley went down under a challenge outside the box, leaving Daizen Maeda to pick up the ball and chip it to the back post where Jota sneaked in ahead of a napping James Tavernier to head the ball home. Rangers edged the possession after the break and threw everything at the Hoops in search of a leveller, but Celtic held out to secure the victory as Ange Postecoglou's winning machine rages on.

Former Bhoys favourite Sutton was commentating on the game alongside Rory Hamilton and Ally McCoist at the national stadium, but wasted no time in revelling in his old's club's triumph and poking fun at the expense of the losers.

Sutton has previously been involved in a 'war of words' with Gers boss Beale through the media this season, and also took another swipe at the Englishman with the hashtag "Bealeball".

He tweeted: "Well played Celtic absolutely relentless. Cameron Carter- Vickers wis a warrior... maybe we will see the real Rangers next time #Bealeball"

Requiring just one more victory to clinch the Premiership title, Celtic travel to Tynecastle to take on Hearts next Sunday, hoping to win the league for a second successive season.

They will then have the chance to claim a domestic treble when they return to Hampden to face Championship side Inverness on Saturday, 3 June.
