Delighted Chris Sutton took a cheeky swipe at Rangers after the slipped up in the Premiership title fight.
Despite dominating the game at Tannadice, Gio van Bronckhorst's men could only take a point off of Dundee United thanks to Joe Aribo 's equaliser.
That gave Celtic the chance to open up a three-point gap at the top of the table with a battling win over struggling Dundee at Parkhead.
With just 11 games left of the Premiership campaign, it puts Ange Postecoglou's men in pole position to lift the league title.
For Rangers, it puts a dampener on a historic week for the club which saw the side earn a landmark 4-2 win over Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League.
That set up Sutton for a dig at the defending champions as he talked about Sunday's results on BBC's 606 football phone-in with Robbie Savage.
Sutton asked: "Does that mean that Dundee United are better than Dortmund because they got a result against Rangers today?
"Rangers should have won the game. They had so many opportunities, and they didn't take them."
