Chris Sutton hails Leeds United's summer recruitment after 'deserved' Chelsea victory

Chris Sutton has praised Leeds United's summer recruitment after the Whites' 3-0 victory over Chelsea on Sunday. Four of Leeds' summer additions started in the win over the Blues, with Brenden Aaronson getting on the scoresheet and Tyler Adams impressing with an energetic performance in midfield.

Rasmus Kristensen and Marc Roca also started in the victory, with Luis Sinisterra making an appearance from the bench.

Leeds ran out comfortable winners against Chelsea to continue their unbeaten start to the Premier League season. Aaronson opened the scoring after pouncing on an error from Edouard Mendy, before Rodrigo and Jack Harrison - two players who were at the club last season - extended the advantage.

The Whites' new signings appear to have settled well into life at Elland Road, and Leeds aren't yet feeling the losses of Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha. In Kristensen, Adams and Aaronson, Jesse Marsch has recruited players he knows well and they are thriving in his style.

"I thought Chelsea's performance against Spurs last week - and I know Spurs got a draw late on - was so superior," Sutton said on BBC'S 606.

"For Leeds to take the game to Chelsea like they did - they thoroughly deserved to win. The recruitment has been good. The recruitment has been good and it was a big win for Leeds."
